No todos los servicios de imagenes son soportados, yfrog es con el que mas se probó. en teoría instagr.am, picplz, twitpic, img.ly, t.co, lockerz.com, 4sq.com deberían funcionar, pero no es seguro.

A twitter app specifically for conferences? awesome! Overall, beautifully designed and very useful - I like the website in general but unfortunately found that:

A) I was unable to tweet from inside the app, even after logging in.
B) It seemed odd I could only create an event from another page?

With those two things fixed and a few more tweaks, it could become a very useful application for conferences.

About what you pointed out "Tweeting from the event page even if you're logged with twitter", just wanted ask if you checked the following:

1) The Hashtag epecified in the event creation must be in the Tweet body for it to appear in the Stream at the Event page. I think there may be a problem with the hashtag Caps so for instance if you write #rallyonrails it may ignore #RallyOnRails

2) We only are storing Tweets related to ongoing events, we made it that way to protect the integrity of the app in case some of the events registeres goes viral and blows up the VPS resources :$ If you try tweeting from the #rallyonrails event (which is actually active) it will show up :)

Sorry if those rules weren't clear enough, and thank's again for the qualification :)

A truly eye-catching design, very pleasant!

I was playing around with the app without logging in at it works great, I was able to find some events, see some pictures.

But once I logged in I saw some bugs and/or UX issues I'd like to mention:

When I click the "Connect with twitter" then I see a "Connected with twitter" image and nothing else, I think you guys should add a search form right there, I mean, this is site is all about finding and seeing events, right?

Once the user is logged in there's no way back, there's no way to logout.

* Creating an event *

When I'm creating an event the default location is Caracas, Venezuela, not my current location, that's very bad.

Of course this makes the map window looking very small because in order to select my country, México, I had to zoom out a loooooot to find my country.

What was even worse was the fact that I wasn't able to change the position of the pin by clicking in other place in the map, I had to drag the pin, very uncomfortable.

You should specify in the form that the Hashtag field do need the # symbol prepended to the hashtag itself or even better you should add it in the back-end.

Besides you should try to help the user and generate a hashtag from the title of the event. The user should be able to edit the generated hashtag, of course.

The "fecha de inicio" field should be a date picker (javascript), there're thousands out there. It'd be nice if the app support parsing things like "today", "tomorrow", "in 2 days", you can use the Chronic gem to do that.

The Website shouldn't be a required field.

and here we are, I clicked the "Guardar" button and Boooooom: We're sorry, but something went wrong.

By the way, I think "Guardar" should be "Crear evento"

* Tweet stream *

I wasn't able to tweet from inside the app. I added the hashtag just as I added in the creation of the event.

* In General *

There's no way to see a list of events I had created.

So, the app looks like a very promising application even though it failed in very basic things, it has a truly eye-catching design, very pleasant, btw.

En el caso de crear evento, es cierto, nos faltó implementar todo lo que comentas, que lo teniamos agendado pero por el tiempo y habernos metido por primera vez con la api de twitter, mongo y rails 3.1, tuvimos muchos otros casos mas importante que corregir y a la final dejamos la creación de eventos para lo último que era lo más sencillo, pero bueno..

Me parece genial que en "fecha de inicio" tenga las opciones Hoy, Mañana, en 2 dias, etc., tenia solo en mente un date picker común y silvestre.

En el caso del tweet, se debería enviar, yo lo pruebo y lo hace, no se :-(

Los eventos creados por un usuario, lo tenemos visualizado para implantarlo luego de todas las evaluaciones, eso y otras cosas mas que mejoraran bastante la app.

We're very happy to hear that this is a good idea, we'll be working on it after #rallyonrails.

As @monsha says, this was our first time using the Twitter API. We spent A LOT time reading online documentation about Twitter Authentication, Streaming API, etc.

Then, when we executed "cap deploy", all assets pipeline stuff from Rails 3.1 showed up! and all background images was missing hahahaha.

Well, that problems are not an excuse, this is just our 48h #rallyonrails experience! And we enjoyed it!.

We are aware of the comments, and we will work on that... thanks!

Hey guys, so the first impression was very pleasant. A breath of fresh air for me being a designer. I love the color scheme, and the overall execution. There are some UI/UX issues that could make this even better.

- The breakup between the events information with the tweets and the photos is just not good. The images are part of the event and there the design suggests something different with them being in the darker color bar.
- The Crear Evento should be in the homepage as well. It was frustrating not to be able to create an event until I clicked on an existing one.
- I liked the homepage's info, its just right however the positioning of the elements could be a bit better. But its a minor thing.
- I really didn't like the search to be at the bottom. Search boxes should be at the top of the page in my opinion, at least in these kind of services where the amount of events could very large.

Other than that guys this seems very promising. Please keep on rocking with projects like this.

the only other thing was that the create an event form seems a bit busy. If you can clean it up a bit it would be aswome and I second rafa on the map being annoying to zoom out and look for a different location.

My First comment: Add a link to create a new event from homepage!
I loved the infinite scroll on tweet streams
When posting a new tweet, append the hashtag event automatically
it'd be nice to have 'views' and filter by keyword, user, etc, one event, multiples views :)
Make Participantes Destacados clickables
Small preview for pictures, if the tweet includes a photo

Very good idea, ui need work to make the user feel that is in control, the logo did not take me to the main screen, the infinite scrolling should take action a lil sooner.

generally the app is really cool, once i logged in and went home i could not get to the create new event. but i understand 48hrs is a short time.

i wish i could tweet this to a bunch of people, or have a button to tweet my event, im already on my twitter account why not make this task easy.

La aplicación está muy buena. Aunque sería muy bueno que al estar en un evento se actualizara el stream automáticamente (o al menos más rápido, esperé un rato, hice un tweet y me tocó recargar la página del todo para verlo).

La navegación es un poco extraña para mí. En la página principal, en el stream, sería bueno ir al evento relacionado al tweet (desde el stream). Así, si un comentario me llama la atención puedo ir a ver el evento aún sin saber que evento es. El logo debería llevar a la página principal (le hice clic media hora y al final me di cuenta que no llevaba link).

Y, en la página principal, sería bueno que los links en los tweets fueran links (como cuando estoy siguiendo un evento).

El diseño está muy bueno! Se ve la mano de 2 diseñadores!

Coloca en el hashtag el # al principio.

Todo estos detallitos los vamos a arreglar una vez terminado la competencia. Son cositas que nos faltaron ya que en 48hrs es muy poco el tiempo, pero luego vamos a incorporarles muchas cosas, y va a ser un site chevere para conseguir eventos en las diferentes sitios, y el dia de eventos la gente pueda compartir sus comentarios y fotos de como va el evento y el que no pudo asistir pueda al menos hacerle seguimiento. Esa es la idea.
